I have some frogspawn that has been doing great for about 2 years. About 6 months ago, i bought a nice piece of hammer, and after about 2 days it started to die. It looked fine one day, then the next about half of the polyps were gone, exposing the calcium skeleton underneath. The next day only a little fleshy area was left swaying in the current. Not sure if it was in bad shape when i bought it, or if there was something in my tank it didn't like. I thought it was odd since the two corals are so closely related. The frogspawn should grow much larger, but both look cool. The hammer when healthy can look almost like it's glowing with a neon green, but i've only witnessed specimens exhibiting color like that a few times, and probably is heavily dependant on your lighting. There are different color frogpawn also. The 2 common ones i've seen have a brown "body" with different colored tips (usually green), and a green body with pinkish tips. Here's a pic of mine.
