Which to get Frogspawn or Hammer?

I was thinking of getting either a Frogspawn or a Hammer coral. I have a 29g with 130w of pc lights. I have 2 percula clowns and a clown goby. I will also be getting some sexy shrimps with my coral hoping they will make there home there.
Which do you think that I should get? Is there an advantage to one? Also, do they grow to about the same size or is one bigger?

IMHO, they act the same, just look different. I like the frogspawn better myself. My 2 sexy shrimp love it too, they go back and forth between it and my RBTA.

I have some frogspawn that has been doing great for about 2 years. About 6 months ago, i bought a nice piece of hammer, and after about 2 days it started to die. It looked fine one day, then the next about half of the polyps were gone, exposing the calcium skeleton underneath. The next day only a little fleshy area was left swaying in the current. Not sure if it was in bad shape when i bought it, or if there was something in my tank it didn't like. I thought it was odd since the two corals are so closely related. The frogspawn should grow much larger, but both look cool. The hammer when healthy can look almost like it's glowing with a neon green, but i've only witnessed specimens exhibiting color like that a few times, and probably is heavily dependant on your lighting. There are different color frogpawn also. The 2 common ones i've seen have a brown "body" with different colored tips (usually green), and a green body with pinkish tips. Here's a pic of mine.

How big do both of them get? I don't really want something that would take over my tank. Is the hammer smaller than the frog?

As long as they are the branching type, they can be fragged so they do not overwhelm your tank...

I vote both and let them grow into each other. That's what I did any anyone who's seen my tank always make a comment about the wierd corals that looks like two put together.

The "heads" grow in mass, but are somewhat restricted to the size of thier base. The hammer would definitely be the space saver choice. Like reefnut said, if the frogspawn starts getting really big and has more than one branch, you can always cut one branch off. Just as a reference I'll show a pic of my frog when the polyps are retracted at night (compare this to my earlier pic).

I have a branching hammer, and a branching frogspawn.
I dont know which one i like better, but when it comes to color.. the hammer. but i am not letting frogspawns down, i love them too. :)

xabxam - I'd love to, but I just did a serious fragging on both of them. Maybe in a few months when they're back in their glory I'll post it.
I'll make a note in my October tank maitenece log to revisit this thread...
