blue throats are probably the least aggressive of the triggers.

Male is a lot better looking than the female.

People think Nigers are passive, thats the case cause most people have tiny ones; wait till they hit 8+ inches, and the triggertude kicks in, they're not the most peaceful. Blue-throat, sargassum, crosshatch would be a better choice for peace.

The 2 experiances I've had with Durgeons (Black Hawaiian) is that they're pretty tough.
I had a 3" - 4" juvie that wouldnt take a beating from anyone (8" Sailfin, 8" Passer Angel, Clown Trigger, Blue Throat). He wouldnt start fights, but I could definately see him being able to, and doing so, when he got bigger.
The other was a friends 10" that killed numerous fish and a few Morays.
Male Blue Throats (mine was 7" - 8") tend to be extremely passive and as someone else said, they're alot better looking than the females.
Next Trigger on my list is the Sargassum...I just cant find one.

Long time reader first time participant. I have 3 triggers a picasso, niger, and clown. My most aggressive of the 3 is the niger. I think it comes down to the individual fish because my vote would be for the picasso as the most peaceful of the triggers that I have experience with.

How long have you had each Trigger, how long have they been together and what size are they?

Ive had the picasso and the niger for about 6mnths and the clown for about 4. The clown and the niger are both about 4 inches and the picasso is about 2 1/2 to 3inches.

Andy there's a sargassum at my LFS for $90Cdn. I'd buy it but I have no room, at least until next week
