Which would you do to switch tanks?

Hey everyone! I havent been on in awhile,i was a bit depressed after the death of my radiant wrasse
but since then, ive gotten a cosmetus wrasse... Hes doing awsome, and now im looking at upgrading my tank! im getting an amazing deal on an acrylic 65 gallon w/lights and all filtration needed
Im currently running a 45g..i want to move everything *rock sand and livestock into the new tank* but i dont wanna run the risk of trying to rush it,and i dont have to rush really, lucky for me i can afford to operate the 2 tanks at once. Would it be wisest for me to just cycle the new tank alone, with some new rock and sand, and then slowly after about 2 weeks of it sitting, start adding the rock from the first tank, etc? Let me know what you all would do :)!

Hello! ^.^
I went through the same decision recently.
I'd start the new one from scratch, that way you don't have to sacrifice any LR or LS from your current tank. That's what I'd do.

Maybe cycle the new tank with about 20 lbs live rock, then when its time to switch you can ut the lr from the last tank in too.
