you know I have had the same problems, and a clean-up crew really didn't help much with the problem. They might stir up the sand some but they won't help you with your glass. You could get a phosph-silicate remover to put in your filter, but I have tried this and this too is somewhat ineffective. To use a line from Chelives, "I hate to break it to ya," but I clean my tank weekly to get rid of that damn algae. Some say it will go away once your tank is well established but I must be the exception to the rule. Either way there is stuff you can try, but I am pessissmistic as to how successfull any method is. I may get burned for my pessimism, but this is what I have found.
