While in QT

Just placed all my fish in a quarantine tank and treating them for ich using the hypo method. What's left in my display tank (55 gal) is 50+ lbs LR, hermit crab, cc starfish, and 1 cleaner shrimp.
While my fish are in QT, will my display tank degrade biologically, or will the inverts help in that regard?

You need to continue to feed your tank. All the animals you mention in there, plus hundreds more you don't mention and don't even know about, need to eat. Animal=needs to eat. Thus, continue feeding your tank! Actually, the food you put in your tank for your fish, is mostly eaten up by non-fish.

Thanks Beth. I forgot to mention that I throw in some flake and kinda swish it around so it gets to the bottom for the crab and cleaner shrimp. Interesting watching a cleaner shrimp eat some of this stuff. The crab goes crazy as the food falls.
I have frozen brine shrimp so should I throw some of that in too?

Eagle, consider making your own seafood mix for your tank. Its really the best way to go. Take a look at a receipe sample in the FAQ Thread at the top of this forum.
