How bad is the white film? Does it appear to be pealing or the mucas layer is just thicker than usual? It is possible that he is stressed from the move. If you have had him for seven months without problems then I doubt it is brooklynella showing up now. Did you net the fish when you moved him?

I was asking about netting because fish can injure themselves on the net, which seems to be the case here. It will heal. Keep his food varied and nutritious. Adding some selcon to his food will help.

I see it. You may want to shrink those photos down though. It is pop eye. Like I said, if he was fine before then it is likely from him being netted recently. Selcon is a vitamin that you add to his food. The healthier he is, the quicker he can recover.

It's just a condition in which the outer film of the eye becomes enlarged. It can happen from many different things such as poor water quality, poor diet, or injury. Once the conditions that caused it is rectified, it usually goes away on it's own. In severe cases medication is needed.

It depends. Being that this was just a scratch from the net, if he didn't have it before, then it shouldn't take too long. A week or so would be my estimate. Most fish stores Carry vitamins. If you cannot find Selcon then pick up some Zoecon. They should Carry something.
