White Ribbon Eel (Ghost Eel)
Bought him on: 03/04/08
For those of you who don't know, these guys are a lot easier to take care for than Blue Ribbon Eeels. They are also a lot cheaper than Blue Ribbon Eels. I saw White Ribbon Eels for $40.00-$60.00, and Blue Ribbon Eels for $70.00 - $100.00. I was luck to get mine for only $25.00, and he was already eating before I brought him home.
Reef Safe?
I can't answer this question yet. I do have a few shrimps in my tank, and so far he doesn't show any interest in them. He doesn't touch my snails and crabs either. I was worried about my neon goby, but so far so good.
Food?
So far I fed him silversides, but I will try krill next time. I am planning on feeding him 3 times a week.
I am attaching few pictures, and a video of him eating. Enjoy!
