While moving my LR around yesterday I noticed a little tiny (less than a quarter inch including the legs, I'd guess) white starfish moving around on a piece of rock. The rock had been moved from my display tank into a bucket of saltwater, with no filtration and no heater. The little guy appeared to be running around just fine though, and when I saw it, I got that piece into the tank again as quick as possible. He was still moving around in there last night, now I can't find it because it's so tiny.
Anyway, do stars get their color as they grow, or is this just a white brittle star? And are they a good or bad thing? Just kinda curious, thought it was pretty neat. Never had a "real" hitchhiker on there that I've seen yet.
