I woke up this morning and noticed about 10-15 little white spots on the galss near my heater. They appear to be moving. They are about the size of a pencil tip and are pure white. What are they, and are they harmful to my tank and its occupants? :notsure:

I think I have the same thing. I think they are small feather dusters. I've read that they are harmless but I have quite a few and I'd like to find something that will eat them. Anyone have any ideas?

I Thought I found something on one of the threads saying it is possible a flatworm. Is this true and are they harmful? :notsure:

flatworms are usually brown. if they move they are some type of microfauna either copopods or aphipods. if they are half coil shaped and don't move they are mini feather dusters. in most cases they are good food for your fishes.

yep youll get many many mnay little bugs and worms in there that are very good. when you first set up a tank everytime you see something new you freak out is it good or bad. after awhile it will get better and you will always see things you didnt know was in there. its a wander of a closed ecosystem.
