White spot on clown

Im worried about my two false percs.
For about a month i had two percs in my tank. They were the only fish; the plan was to keep it that way for a few months before i bought anything new, but i went to a LPS and fell in love with a potters angel (they told me it was easy to keep....??) so i bought him. Now, the potters is looking great, grazing all day long and looking happy, but i think the percs have gotten sick. Basically both percs have one white bump on the outlying edge of their gills. Thats it, no other spots. Just one on the outter gill on each fish. They dont seem to be getting any bigger and the fish still act fine. They are eating more and more each day and they are very vivacious. I do not currently have a QT tank set up but i have a little 10 gal that could be converted, but it would need to cycle and whatnot.
Does anyone know what my lil guys have going on??? I think it may be ich, but from my knowledge ich has more than one dot. BTW, these dots have been on the fish for about 2 weeks now. I also have a 9 watt uv sterilizer that runs 24/7 with a small powerhead feeding it, and the tank is a 55 w/ a 30 gallon sump/fuge.
thanks in advance

I have this problem too with my single clownfish, and have yet to figure out what it is. It seems to go away when the fish is doing very well and stress free, and returns when the fish is stressed.
Perhaps it is Lymphocyctis but it does not look exactly like that. Keep an eye on it.

lol, that stinks...i figured it would be an easy problem to solve ;). What have you done to try and treat yours? How long has it had the bump and how old is the fish???

The problem is only present when the fish is stressed. When the fish is well taken care of, it does well.
I suggest you keep an eye out on it to see if it actually develops into a parasite problem, if it is just as I have described.
TLC goes a long way.
