White spot

How could a Royal Gramma have signs of white spot (rubbing off rocks and sand), white spots on fins. Next day the spots have gone and return a week later, only to disappear again the next day.
Is this possible?

Yep thats normal, it is usually mistaken that the fish no longer has the parasite but its still there just not in a "visible" state. You need to treat the fish as soon as you can, IMO the best treatment is hyposalinity.

Thanx for replies
I treated the tank the first time with stuff that is a wide range treatment, safe for invertebrates aswell. I have done this again.
My 35G tank contains:
2 percs
Royal Gramma
Scooter blenny
2 turbo snails
The Gramma seems to be the only one infected.
I know about the cycle of the ******, but the treatment doesn't mention anything about it, although it is a 3 day course.
