White Spots Everywhere

I have searched all over this site to see if what I have matches other posts but can't find anything.
I have white very small spots on the glass and live rock.
These do not move, are not spirals and are hard to remove. They do not have any kind of legs or anything.
I can see that it is some living thing, not calcium deposits.
They do not appear to be anything in the hitchhikers forum, as they do not have any form to them other than the shape of a circle.
Please help me figure this out.

sounds like it could be pods. hard to tell without some sort of picture.
