white spots in my tank???

What are these white spots that have come up on my tank? They are on the glass and also I have noticed them being on my snail, crabs and live rock. It almost looks like salt build up. Do you suppose I have too much salt in my tank? My sallinty level is 1.026. Any help would be greatly apprecited, thanks!

I don't know what they are but I have them also. Mostly on the back wall of my tank. I assumed they were calcium deposits but would like to know for sure, any Sharks out there care to shed some light on this.

That is from calcium. esp. if you are adding kalkwasser or some kind of calcium additive. No worries.

most salt build up will occur at or above the water line, and calcium noramlly appears near the water line too, bu --- cold be, can you give a better descrioption??
do they look almost like water spots, semi clear and kinda look like a ring(only sheped a bit different
if you try to clean them off, are they hard to get off, almost like a suction cup, and then pop off???? if so they could also be forminiferan, a pod like creature, which is goood,a nd many fish love to eat em

has a pic of one, it is all the way at the bottom of the page, not sure if that is what they are, but if so, pop a couple off into the water column and watch oyur fish go berserk over that treat

I have some on my tank also. I was told that they are little copepods.

Are they in a spiral shape?

They are easy to scrape off with my scrapper. Some of them are long, kind of looks like veins that come off each other. It's mostly on the back of the tank and on my snails and crabs. And no I don't put any extra "stuff" in my tank. I just want to know if they are bad things to have. <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

if you scrape them off with a tscraper, do the fish like them??

I did look at the pictures and they look nothing like that. It basically looks likes someone got the salt shaker and sprinkled it all over the glass.
