White spots on buttons

I trie in the reef forum but no luck. My button polyps have a white substance on them. It resembles ick that is found on fish. Some of the polyps are now closing. Please, any help here is appreciated. Thanks.

Is the substance comming out of the mouth? I remember when learning about cnidarians (could have been echinoderms though)... could it be their stomach being ejected as a defense mechanism?

No. It is on the outside and at the edges. Many are now closed. I am consdering pulling them out tonight to prevent this from spreading.

Move them to a location where they are not near any other coral and see what happens.
How long have you had them?
