Hey,
First of all you may want to post this in desease & treatment.
I haven't had an ick break-out yet, but I did see a couple small white specks on a new Perc I added last month. I did a small water change and kept my lights off for most of the day to remove stress from the little guy. A couple days later he was fine.
I have seen several posts on this bb about using food soaked in garlic juice to treat ick. (Do a search on garlic to find out details.)
Anyway, I'm sure someone with more experience will post a better answer for you. Good luck!

Hey,
Not a problem. I just thought you might get a quicker response. Someone will jump in here too. BTW, scroll to the bottom of this page and you'll see a "go" button. Open up Desease and Treatment and click on "go" to get there. HTH.
Take care,

Do you have any cleaner shrimp in your tank? I have two tangs and my hippo tang seems to have spots on him quite often. Usually just a couple when the temp in the tank happens to go high due to high temperatures outside and my a/c not pulling its weight, but the cleaner shrimp takes care of it every time. I would look into getting a pair of those especially if this is a reef tank. They are scavengers and are usually self sustaining.
