white spots on fins of my picasso trigger HELP!!

there are white spots on the fins of my picasso trigger, i have been using melafix which seems to temporarily help but when i stop it comes back, should i do a water change ??? help new to salt. recently had orange shoulder tang die also, looked well but just died

Are you treating the fish in your main tank? And, if so, what type of tank is it?
What do the white spots look like? Are they salt like; as if grains of salt are sprinkled on the fish?

yes in main tank, i dont have a hospital tank. its a 75 gallon, there somewhat salt-like. they looked salt like on the orange tang but then they went away and he died.
