white spots

I've just placed my fish in the QT after noticing first on my Yellow Tang some white spots that look like grains of salt all over him. Is this ich, or somehing else?

probly ich. is he swimming strange? is he eating well? is doing anything strange?

Well, he's not swimming any different from normal, but is a less active swimmer than usual, and isn't eating like a pig anymore. I've been putting garlic drops in food.

If the fish is in QT, then go ahead a perform hyposalinity. A serach here will tell you the procedure if you need it as I post it up around 1X week.

Yea I knew about the HYPO, and I'm doing that right now. IT's been a few days later and the Tang is looking great now. All the white spots are gone, and he's eating even more than ever. But I wish this process didn't take 23 days!!!!
