Not really, as long as you take pictures of stuff that doesn't move it's not hard to get good macro shots. Olympus does make a nice affordable digi cam, but taking good macro pics of zoos and frogspawns and such isn't that difficult.

I know I'm dumb, I can't get great pics like that w/ my Kodak 3.2. Olympus does make a nice camera. Found the book though, this dinosour has gotta get reading in between the WCs

Thanks for all your replies, Im going to a warehouse this tues and ill hopefully have my MH set up for some new corals
Im not entirely sure how it manages to take such good shots, most of them are from close up. I guess i got lucky with the model type.
Yah, Matt, its not rocket science to take macro shots, but for $100 im pretty damn happy with the results

Hey Chunks, does that Olympus have a manual focus??? Or is it only auto??? Are you using a macro feature to take those pics??? TIA

manual focus, but you can force it to take a macro of something that would otherwise be automatically focused out with a little distance work. Macro mode setting is best, but zoom works just as well if you work it right

Great pics!! Beautiful!! Spot feed your beautiful bubble tip mysis and small peices of silversides and he will grow like crazy! I am still trying to figure out how to get good pics with my little fine pix digital-guess I will also have to get the manual out and read. I love looking at everyones pictures.
