who goes bare bottom?

I need some more info on bare bottom tank.
I am almost ready to set up my 90 SPS tank. Can someone help me understand if bare bottom is what I want to do?
What is starboard and where can I get it?
Who runs barebottom?
Who runs substrate?

i've never went bare bottom, but i'm gonna give it a try soon (frag tank) but i don't i will ever like bare bottom over dsb. but i will give it a try.
i'm not sure were you get the starboard, maybe in some plastic retailer.. i know that starboard is the same material as plastic cutting boards..

i use to have bare bottem but switched to sand cause it looks so much better
