I have a number of Maroons thruout my tanks and the largest (which is about 4 years old now) is 4 inches. One to a tank normally as they are more aggressive then the Peculas. I have not had luck tho with Gold Stripes as they seem more mellow and I have had 2 killed by other fish so now I stick to the regular Maroon Clowns who can take care of themselves. I have 2 Maroons (in Different tanks) that live quite happily with a snowflake and a gold tail eel. I highly recommend Maroon Clowns over any of the other clowns (my personal thoughts of course).

I have a mated pair of gold stripe maroon clowns in my 72g reef tank. Other inhabitants: Chromis, basslet, Coral Beauty, mated pair of Banggai cardinals, anthias. They usually spend the day chasing away other fish who get too close to their anemone. They don't harm any of the other fish. They do attack my hand when I do maintenance which isn't bad while they are still young. When they get bigger, I imagine it won't feel too good.

Viking; All my tanks are basically display tanks with full substrates and live rock, etc. One is a full reef and the others mainly FO. I have 9 in my finished basement with my finished Computer room just off of it (with its own bathroom- I never have to leave if I don't want to lol). One tank the 46 bowfront is upstairs in the living room. When we bought this house 4 years ago this month I told the real estate person it must have a aces basement fully done so I can have my tanks all together but near a room with facilities for water, etc. He came up with this house which was perfect. With the weight of all these tanks I wanted them on a firm surface and what better then a basement. My only unhappy thought is that it is carpeted and how would I ever be able to change that. It has got wet a couple times here and there but I have a shampoo machine that cleaned it right up.

I have a gold-striped maroon clown(about 3 1/2"s) in a 75 reef. Had it for over a month now and he loves the anemone and the large brain coral.

I have a maroon that's 3 inche long or so. he has grown a lot in the last year and due to the bigger tank. The LFS here had a maroon once that was atleast 5 inches long and three inche tall. he was a "fatty" and looked like a tang. LOL
