Who here keeps a 65 gallon tank?

...And what do you stock?
I'm just curious. I'm considering the possibility of downsizing my 110 for family reasons, and a 65 is a pretty decent size with just a 3 foot footprint. Does anyone have this size tank here?

Yes I have a 65 - do you want to trade, LOL - I really like the size - It has some height. I have a 65 planted tank as well. In my reef I have
2 osc clowns
1 blue/green chromis
2 banggaii cardinals
1 bi colored blenny
In QT and hopefully going in soon to finish off the tank for fish
2 dispar anthias
1 spotted lined wrasse
Inverts - brittle star - lots of snails all kinds
In QT and hopefully going in soon to finish off the tank for inverts
2 emerald crabs
2 cleaner shrimp
1 pom pom crab

LOL Sure, let's trade. I'm sure the gas it would cost us to drive half way would be equal or more to buying and setting up completely new tanks...for both of us.

Very nice tank there. Yes, I like the height on a 65 as well....I'd be able to use two of the three columns I have for the 110 if I downsize. I don't know if I'd choose a predrilled tank with a full size overflow or if I'd risk drilling myself for a glassholes kit....probably the former, for price reasons. I guess my only complaints would be all the usual stories....less room for more active fish, less overall bioload, yadda yadda. But if it keeps peace in the family, it's worth it!
In a perfect world I'd keep my 110. I still might be able to. But wife and I are looking to start a family soon, and the office would become a nursery, the dining room would turn into a smaller office, and the Dining room table would wind up in the same area as the tank. Which, in my opinion, is fine, but The Wife is not so sure. Actually, she's pretty darn sure, just not in my favor. I'm trying to make this decision BEFORE I get the POD unloaded and the 110 set up, because I'm going to be spending money on a new light fixture either way. I don't want to drop a few hundred on a 4 foot fixture, only to realize I'll be needing a 3 foot fixture instead.

If the office and the nursery share a wall why not build it into the wall, the babies would love watching all those fish. I would try to keep the 110, but you know what is best. Boca Raton that is in the Fort Lauderdale area I do some work in the Browards every now and then. Plantation comes to mind.

Sadly, no....totally different rooms on opposite sides of the house.
Yep, I'm just a little north of Ft Lauderdale and Plantation, in Deerfield Beach to be precise. Next time you're down, let me know!
