I heard last night that Emanuel was on the fast track to be Speaker of the House when Pelosi is done. This guy should know what he is doing and hopefully will be a good balance to Obama...kind of like good cop / bad cop.

Emanuel is a thug, there are even Democrats who said it's true. It's going to depend on how Obama plans to use him. We could get lucky here. It's no secret that Obama is arrogant. If he cashes in all theses IOU's the left has on him he is a one term wonder. If he decides he would rather go down in history as a good president he might use Emanuel to muscle the Dems into moving a centrist agenda. I ain't holding my breath but I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Honestly, I don't know what he did, but some of his friends used to tell some funky stories when I was a kid. The Civella name came up fairly often.
