Got a 56 in jvc projection screen tv. model is AV-56WP74. The red seems to be out of focus the convergence moves it all directions but the red seems like it is to wide. is there a way to focus the red in?

Do a search for "Home Theater Spot", it's a forum where I found a lot of info on TV's. I know my rear projection TV had a couple of adjustments that had to do before the convergence adjustment.
One thing I would do is clean the lenses and mirror. If the mirror is dusty it will really screw with the picture. Just be aware they use first surface mirrors which means the coating is on the front side of the glass and easily scratched. Be gentle and use toilet paper on some other soft wipe to clean the mirror.

Thank you for your answer. I figured out how to focus the red. I got this Tv for free yesterday because somebody told the owner it would cost them a couple hundred to fix. took me half hour to figure it out and 2 seconds to fix lol

Were you able to do it via the service menu or did you have to crack it open and use the manual internal adjustments?
I've seen projection sets get hosed beyond practical repair from the internal adjustments being done wrong. If you got yours fixed, you lucked out and got a great deal.

I chose my first big screen (Mitsi) for the very reason the tweaks and adjustments were accessible through the service menu and very user friendly.

Apart from knowing where to get the fluid, I can't say I have any experience with that. I bought my projection set new and it's never given me any trouble.
I am wondering why the fluid needs to be changed... it only should need it if the CRTs were worked on requiring it to be drained.

Kinda of funny but Algae grows in them making them cloudy. it will not grow in the red one though just the yellow and blue.
