I heard something negative about the salifert Ph test kit, I know they are one of the leaders in the testing industry but there was something about the Ph kit that was not up to par(cannot remember though)
thanks

The most accurate, is a digital one. I bought a Hanna digital ph tester for about $75 on ---- and it is the greatest thing ever, and it is so much faster than using test kits. I know most people would say, yeah but $75 is a lot of money. Think about how much you will spend on test kits over time, it more than pays for itself.

Are they dummy proof? I mean compared to those crappy dip sticks? Im thinking of changing my whole tests over to salifert! How about contamination from test tubes? Thanx!

There wa a fresh water (Koi) forum that has a chemist in it, who did a test of various test kits. His results was that virtually all test kits are mnore than accurate enough for aquarium or pond use.......its all in the ease of use of the various kits that makes the difference. SOme are hard and easy to make a mistake with others are quick easy and simple, but most give sufficiently accurate results for their intended purposes. Personally I like Seatest, as well as Salifert.
