My female Clown never let my male near "her" anemone.
If you have a big enough tank, get two small ones. The interaction as one becomes female is fascinating.

you will find that only when the pair is a mateing pair will they host the same anemone at the same time, if they are just paired (getting along) that dosent mean that the female will let the male near her anemone, and if she dose left him in they will be breeding befor to long, alot of times if you have a pair the female will pick hers and the male will take the left over one, but the male is always welcome in her anemone if they are a breeding pair, but when they lay eggs the female will lay the eggs near the males anemone not her own as its the male that broods the eggs, not the female
hope this helps

Hey Guys-
I just bought a sebae anemone, 3 weeks ago. Finally one night, I happened to be walking by the tank when the lights were off... to my amazement, all 3 of my false percs are hosting the anemone!!! Is this normal? However, only one seems to touch it during the day... They started doing this after it started turning brown... I think it was bleached when i first got it. thoughts? Fun though!

I bought two clarkii's when the were little >1", The female (2") will NOT let the male (1.5") around her xenia, AT ALL.
Wish she would though..
I put a frogspawn in there about a month ago, and he keeps eyeing it.. so we'll see what happens
