I've always been told that saltwater fish are more colorful than freshwater fish. I'm not so sure about that anymore. My favorite cichlid I own is shown below:

i love Discus!!!

I had a discus once, but he died after about a month. I couldn't get him to eat very often, he acted scared of food most of the time. Is there any secret to getting discus to eat?

Freshwater fish are meant to be caught on a line and eaten Nad cichlids are actually a specially evolved creature from lake victoria in Africa and there is a small amount of salinity there. They are not freshwater

The first one is actually a peacock cichlid, Aulonocara Jacobfrebergei is the scientific name I believe.
