Well - he didn't eat anyone....LOL...he is such a strange fish. He got bored watching them and went and laid on top the hermit crab.....I even have some really small blue and red legged crabs in there that he just looks at....guess the miracle grow curbs his appetite for critters......
This is an old picture - before my Puffer turned into the log he is today...

:hilarious That was great!
OK, so I was under the impression that puffers are not reef safe, but you clearly have coral AND inverts, so what has your experience been? How long have you had your puffer?

As you can see - I love my Puff.....this tank has been set up since June 2006. BUT - this is our 5th tank LOL.....
Puffers are not suppose to be reef safe - I got very lucky with him. I had him in one of our smaller tanks and you could tell he just wasn't happy - so in the reef he went. Figured if he messed with anything he would just go into one of the other tanks. He has been in this tank since September 2006. I do feed him 3-4 times a day. He lets me know when he is hungry by comming to the top of the tank and spitting water - he eats a huge variety of foods - pretty much anything I put in there - he has been known to beg for a cookie if you are eating one while walking past the tank.
I saved him from Deathco - and he was live fed when I got him. I had to break him of that real fast......I have always been known to do things against the grain - how many people have an aggressive reef....LOL

Wish I could find a puffer like yours.
I LOVE puffers, they are so cute and remind me of ET (don't ask me if you don't know who that is
).

beautiful puffer, don't see them that dark color to much. I was under the impression that puffers were not invert safe....but not to much worry about corals.
azfishgal, ET....why?
