who should we NOT listen to?

so a new person comes on here and lets say they get one response for a problem that needs immediate attention. some goofball with 700 posts gives an answer that is way off track but you think its ok cuz of his # of posts. its a good warning for people to know whether you call them out or not.
they want the attention anyway so why not give it to them and help out the people who are serious on here

jwt has pretty much said it. unfortunately there are some members who may not give " the best" advice. but on this board, we do not allow flaming and pointing out members is pretty much in that direction.
you do have a point, how to tell if it is good advice
normally with most questions you will get numerous responses, and willneed to weed through them. it is pretty obvious most times who has a clue and who does not. not to mention that you will have several agreeing posts. however, if you only get one, how to tell. most often if there is only one(given time enough for others to respond) it is generally pretty close. many members wont follow up sometimes when it has been covered. BUT they most often will, if bad advice is given.
