im filling my tank today and wondering if i should use whole rocks or rubble in the sump? i think rubble because of the increased surface area, but i dont know for sure.
either will work, but my theory is this. yes on more surface area, but not only that if u frag than all ur rubble rock can be used as frag props. every so often get new rubble of rock and take a hammer to it....makes sense to me, i would go with rubble.....
I would use rubble also for the reasons above plus you can generally pick up rubble for less than LR no sense in paying a premium price for a piece of rock just to throw it in your sump.
