My 36 gallon tank is around a month into cycling and i have one healthy clown right now. I recently introduced one turbo snail and 3 black margarita snails. Within two days they were all dead, and there is plenty of algae on my live rock, in fact it is much needed because i have a pretty bad red hair algae problem because i got the live rock right out of a friends tank. My levels are pH- 8.2, ammonia-0, nitrates .5 ppm, nitrites-0, temp- 78 F. I also do 15% weekly water changes. I'm unsure if my neighbor used any medications on his tank like copper but i scrubbed them off before putting them in my tank a few times if that would make a difference. I also read somewhere that electrical currents might have something to do with snail mortalities and a titanium grounding probe would fix it?? I just need a clean up crew but i don't want sacrifice any more until i can fix this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
