why bother raising salinity after hypo?

I'm in the process of treating my fish with hypo, and all the white spots are gone, if less salinity means less stress on a fish and ick and velvet can't live in low salinity conditions, why not just keep them at 1.009 or even 1.12. what's the point of raising up the salinity if i only want a fish only tank? i know i would probably get some flames for this question but it's been on my mind and would like to know a knoledgable explanation. i've only been doing saltwater for 6 months so i don't have much experience in sw aquariums. thanks alot for your advice and sorry i'm this question seems "dumb" to you. since i know probably noone on this board keeps their salinity that low in the tank.

Lower salinity IMO does cause some stress to the fish, But the
parisite can not live at a lower salinity. The whole purpose for
hypo salinityis to kill the parasite. I'm not sure how long fish
can or will live with such a low salinity level.

one of the biggest disadvantage i can think of is not being able to add snails, shrimps, crabs at such low salinity levels.
I think pods will not populate in your tank too.
Would love to hear if there are any findings on lifespan of fishes in long-term hypo solution...
