Why did the Deer Cross the Road??

So, I'm on my way to work this morning and I see 3 deer crossing the road. Apparently, they wanted to go to the Kwik-E-Mart across the street. I watched them wander in the parking lot.

I was driving down a quiet road today when I saw a small roadkill deer laying off in the brush close to the asphalt. It's a sick thought, but I had a "why did the deer cross the road......this one didn't" kind of thought go through my head. I'm a baaaad man.

The deer you see usually isn't the problem. It's the other one following it that ends up as your new hood ornament.

Now that my daughter is doing softball, we are leaving practice when there is just a shade of sunlight left. This is the worse time to be driving country roads. I can't see the deer until I just pass. If one happens to be in the road, I doubt I will see it.

Yeah, we have the same problem around here. I was driving at sunrise last week and for some reason I came to a series of dips in the road in a shaded area and slowed way down, otherwise I probably would have hit all four deer in the road. Of course the fact I hit a deer a couple weeks ago might have had something to do with me being paranoid.

Some people swear by those little devices you put on your car that supposedly emits some sort of high pitch sound that runs deer away. Not sure if they really work or not.
