WOW... You are so right. That is poor customer service and public relations. Did the items in the box make it? Probably not I would say.

so, are USPS and UPS the same thing? or is USPS just the postal service, like, bills and birthday cards? doesnt seem to me like they should be trying to ship packages (let alone live stuff) anyways.
hope the 3rd item pulls through.

USPS - Unites States Postal Service. Mail men or women.
UPS - United Pacel Service. Men or women in brown clothing. Competitor is Fed-Ex
They are two diffrent companies.

When I bought lights from a water trader place they shipped UPS. When I opened them they were damaged. They didn't do a good job packing the lights. It took me some time to get reimbursed. So I buy them from a Dr because of better handling. There is no need for a package to be delivered like that. If I was the mail man I would of been embarrassed and made sure no one was home or dropped it off quickly to avoid being seen.

Down the drain go my plans to send fish by mail. You should submit a complaint or contact USPS.
I know I'm not sending anything living by USPS unless I can get a guarantee that it will ship fine and on time.(can't really do much if the fish just dies from an unknown reason though)

ship express... priority doesn't include insurance and all that. They treat express packages much better and overnight gives them less time to be hoodlums to your packages.

Was your critters in ziploc bags? I see a couple in the pics. If they are, they are not appropriate shipping containers and leak. Sometimes when it is seemed via plane, the pressure can make bags that are too full pop.... the water leaks, the box gets wet and you end up with the mess you have.
I'm not saying it's not the fault of USPS, we have no idea what happened along the way, but if the bag popped because of inadequate packaging, the end result would be what you have..... but not the fault of USPS.
Bet he didn't even tell them he was shipping live fish/corals/whatever.

I know. But some ppl like cheaper shipping so they roll with priorty!

that's the risk they take, I keep all my PMs and such with regards to sales on various forums in case people try to hold the seller accountable for their cheapness and consequent problems
