Well, last night provided my top 2 highlights with my new tank. I currently have my main tank in hypo and have moved 5 out of 6 of my hermits to a 10 gallon side tank. Whilie inspecting the tank last night, I noticed a small "ball" in the corner. After retrieving it and inspecting, it was one of my blue legged hermits out of it's shell! I located the shell and what appeared to be a dead hermit (likely the product of molting) and brought them together. The "ball" zipped into the shell in a flash and joined his buddies in the tank. That was fun.
The other thing was while I was just sitting and watching the fish near bedtime. I noticed one of my blue devils poking around an artificial decoration that is hollow underneath. This Blue Devil was methodically picking up pieces of crushed coral and moving them around the tank until he'd created a path to get under the decoration. I watched him work for almost an hour!
Even though I'm very new to the hobby, I'm having a blast!
