So I had a good supply of Coraline algae growing on some rocks and I guess my too big of a water change and change in calcium and salinity lefel bleached my coraline on the rocks BUT the coraline on one of my powerheads is still thriving and growing faster then the stuff on the rocks.
im confused

Plastics are prime surfaces for growth and coraline algae seems to thrive on it,usually first place it grows.
correct me if im wrong, but isnt this because of the small amounts phosphates they(plastic) release?

Well I have been scrapping the algae off of the powerhead in hopes that it floats to some rocks and seeds it.

i think you should just leave it alone, lol. if its growing on the powerhead it will EVENTUALLY grow on the rock. i assume the powerhead is probably closer to the light source too. be cool... relax.... if you have good lighting and good flow it WILL grow.
