Why is my dwarf angle eating my snails?

I recently bought an Eibli Angelfish, about 2 weeks ago. I bought 20 new snails yesterday for my tank, and the angle fish is eating them. I know that dwarf angel's are not completely reef safe, but I had a coral beauty that didn't bother any inverts. Oddly enough, the angle doesn't touch any of the snails that were there before him. Is there anything that I can do to keep my snails from being eaten? Thank you.

every fish is an unique individual. if ur elibi has a taste for snails, there isnt a thing u can do about it, except removing it or the snails.

+1 but interesting I know all dwarfs run a chance on nipping at corals but I have never heard of one eating snails. Sorry to hear that maybe you can trade him for something else.
