Why is my emerald crab missing a arm?

I have 2 emerald crabs and one of them is missing an arm and 2 legs and the other is missing just a leg. I tested the water and everything is okay, so do emerald crabs usually tear each other apart.

Its possible they could have gotten into a skirmish if they irritate one another. Any Peaceful species has the potential to defend itself if threatned. The arms and legs can grow back over time. Also if they were stressed anyway I think that can also cause the loss of limbs.

Could be a molting problem. Maybe you are missing some element in the water that they need to molt properly and the limbs were lost when they were attempting to molt. Just another possibility.

I've heard CC Stars are quite opportunistic feeders. There was athread not long ago, I'll try to find it..
