Why is my LR not curing

I have some uncured lr in my 20 gal tank and its been nearly 2 weeks and i have only found that i have ammonia reading of.25. All other readings are zero. I dont understand why it is just sitting there. I did a 25% water change yesterday and still the ammonia reads.25.

I am running a HOB filter and a powerhead. PLEASE:help: I want to make this my quarantine tank cause my 45 gal tanks has the same ammonia reading. I am in alsorts at the momen

I feel your pain. I have 60lbs curing for 5 weeks now. I have done 8 water changes all 100% and the toxins appear immediatly after. You may want to increase the amount of water and make sure there is alot of flow. You might as well stop getting your self excited because it is going to take time. maybe another 4 weeks longer. Mine better be ready in 2 weeks tops that would be 7 weeks total.

Are you scrubbing the dead tissue off during ther water changes sometimes you really have to scrub the rocks if that dead stuff is just sitting on the rock it is just gonna keep spiking your ammonia and nitrite.
