Why Pics?

i know. and the reason is nanos are way funer thing to build and easy to take pics of. while big reef tanks you have to take millions of close shots IMO

I dont know about funner, definitely more affordable and less space intensive. I love my tank but would upgrade any day, given the opportunity.
IMO, the people that have the large tanks and LE corals and all that whole deal tend to put a lot more effort into their tanks, even learning how to take good pics. Many buy pro grade cameras and such to do so.

I honestly wouldnt really go bigger than the 40 im setting up. At least for now. Maybe when I own a house or something, but I LOVE NANO. theyre perfect for me.

True that. My dads looking into a 55, but its way too slim to fit the rockwork well. Im trying to steer him towards the 55 that is deeper, which has a much simpler name, a 75 gallon.
