Why take out Inverts in Hypo?

In the Hypo procedure, Beth mentions to remove all Inverts and LR and LS from tank. Why is that? are these more susceptible to lower salinity than fish?

well, It's a 10gallon, I used 5gallons of water from my display tank, and 5 gallons of freshly mixed saltwater. I dont have anything in there right now, other than a mechanical filter, and heater.
