I agree, the wide option gives you so much room to work with. I would love another 6" of width on my 125g.

Wide as well. Better aquascaping opportunities as well as cheaper lighting possibilities.

I prefer wide......I don't think lighting really gets any cheaper regardless of what you go with; with those dimensions......As far as the extra width easier for aquascaping......
Well you never have enough room....I thought my 48" was wide....Well after starting the rock work I wish I had another 12".....Just never enough......

Wide. I have a 30" tall tank and let me tell you...it's a pain to reach the bottom. The tall tanks have a lot of visual appeal (I do love mine) but for ease of maintenance....go wide.
