Given the proper lighting, it should be alright.
Keep in mind that not only are aggressive fish "aggressive", they're also curious and destructive. Dont be surpised if the Trigger or Puffer tear up the anenome.

No... puffer and most triggers should not mix with an anenome.
You didn't beat me to it AW2.... same time.

its much safer going into the reef tank .the trigger and puffer are very likely to chew it apart

as for huma triggers they have a very bad rep for being a great fish for the longest time and then one day the owner wakes up to find everything in the tank shredded and dead all but the huma.triggers should always be last to be added to the tank.very territorial fish. same also goes for wrasses.what size tank is she setting up this will help with planning good species for her.and yeh im a woman i understand. thats why i have 2 tanks lol.but ones an agressive reef other is full aggressive
.as far as aggressive how agressive does she want pasive aggressive to safely place hands in the tank without being chewed on? or colorful venomous somewhat dosile that is easily housed with others .small species very large species ect.clue me in on what she prefers maybe i can help out a bit.aggressive doesnt have to be like a pit of parahna.

well being an aggressive tank wih larger species of fish you will want less LR than to say with a reef du to alot of clumsy fish tumbling it down.now as for the dogface puffer this is a very large fast growing fish a 75 gal wont fit it very long.and the bioload is going to be big time from agressive fish as it is so have good filteration ready.puffers are very messy eaters.if you have not purchased your tank yet for her id go with a 125 6ft like i have or simular.if you hav her tank already just be ready for an upgrade quickly.the vol lion in my 300 is almost a yr old he was 1 1/2 inches when i got him last march.thats how fast they grow but hes ok in a 75, as for the tang i would wait a while for that one due to its sensetivity to water quality for the tank to be a while and you have all of it check from the more messy fish.best fish to start with are med sized fish not super small even though you have a smaller tank say with a puffer 4-6 inches.the list you have should work .with a little extra effort from you when it comes to feeding time.oh yes major minor thing about the puffer.i know everyone says sand is better filtration.but when it comes to aggresive tanks and puffers especially they do very well with cc due to its ease of syphoning and they love to chew on the stuff when they are not eating.I had my ss puffer for 3 1/2 yrs 13 inches long never had dental problems cus he always chewed on the cc.he was 4 inches when i got him.one of my fish in my 125.in fact i still have the same cc in the tank i started with and i still have no problems with water quality.if you like yo can also contact me at lyndog13@aol.com with any other concerns.

As for your wife's question about having corals/inverts, I can only speak for triggers and only for a one year period. I am a woman, and I listen to what you "guys" tell me, (if I do not know better.
)
We have mushroom corals and button polyps and none of our 3 triggers mess with either. Last March/April, we had one mushroom, now 8-10 months later we have 7. I don't know what they do to anemones, I haven't personally tried any. But she can have "pretties" in with her aggressives, just not the real pretty things.
She'll have fun............Peace

In addition, unless you have relatively unusual lighting for an aggressive tank, you may not have enough light.
Water quality also tends to suffer in aggressive tanks - not a problem for the fish, but it can be a big problem for the anemones.
They really do better (and that is relative in many cases) in non-predator systems.

Now that you mention the water quality will not be as good I kinda went "oh yea I didn't think of that" and the fact that the lighting will also be a issue. man you guys think of everything. I guess once you been there before and learned the lessons, you make sure not to do mistakes again. thanks to all for your wonderful info.

Our 1st mushroom coral is now about 6" in diameter and we have 6 more babies growing by leaps and bounds. They are half way up in the tank (125g-6'x18"x22") we have Current lighting-4', I'm not sure about the brightness or kelvins (sp) (One ballist went out this week. Less than one year old
GOOD THING WE WERE HOME, smoke, burning electric smell!!! Not good at all)
Anyway, the polyps did well in the same area, except the rock they are on happens to be one of the favorite "play rocks" for our triggers
They are still there, they just can't get settled and thrive.
Anyway, my point is, I would love to have anemones too, and will when I start my reef tank, but there are a couple of decorative things you can have with your fish and your lighting :happyfish Our simple spotted mushroom coral adds a lot to our tank. We plan to get a couple more so they will spread more rapidly....................Peace
