Will a clown host...?

I'd like to get at least one long tenticle coral. No anenome, I'm afraid i'd kill it somehow and you can't frag it. Anyways, I'm looking twords a torch coral or a frogspawn mabye? Anyone ever had a clownfish hoast them? I know they're both stingers, so has anyone ever had any trouble with them and other fish in the tank? I have a 29 gallon. I have two clowns, and I'm looking to get a Mandarin, a Midas Blenny, and maybe a roal gramma if my parameters will let me. I have a 20 gal sump and a good size CUC, so hopefully that'll help there. Anyways back to the corals.
Whatcha guys think? Also, do they really need MHs, or will just T5s be fine? My dad's an electrician, so he's getting me the ballsts and all the other fixin's for a T5 set up. I'll get MHs eventually, but I don't have a job so buying 300 dollar lighting is out of the question at the moment.

Clowns will do fine with just about any coral. The one's you listed are fine, although there's no guarantee they'll host in them. They do fine with no host at all.

Yeah I know they don't need a host, but its a cool thing to watch. =) Is there one that you prefer? I have a small tank and I'd like to get a lot of corals, so I only really want one or two of the big bad stingers.

I don't have any preferences. What I'm saying is you could have a hundred different corals but they might not host in any of them.

I know I know, I'm talking about the stinging thing though. XD Which one's are meaner, the torch or the frogspawn?

I can only speak from personal experience, but my clowns hosted my Torch Coral in the very beginning, but soon abandoned it, no idea why. Yours might, might not, it really depends on the fish.
I have Torch Coral, Frogspawn and Hammer in my tank and the Torch has grown far faster than the other two (about 3xs as quick) and extends its tentacles much further (about 6-7" on average). If you want a ton of corals in your tank, you might want to take that into consideration since you won't be able to place any other coral within it's reach, or the Frogspawns reach for that matter.
I've had great success with Bubble Tip Anemones, they're pretty easy, and if your clowns do host them, you won't really have to worry about taking care of them other than lighting (ours even go to the underside of the rocks for a little while each day and we only have T5HO lights.)
Hope that helps.

That's nice to know. I absolutly love the red bubble tips. Do they need to be spot fed like the other anenomes?

We feed ours weekly with Mysis Shrimp. We don't really feed it very much, or the other two regular BTA we have because the clowns take care of that for the most part.
A big thing with the Rose over the two regulars that we have in general is that the rose almost always looks better, but it also needs higher lighting than the other two do. Ours move a little, but once they found a spot they were happy with, they stayed there, even with the fish bouncing from one anemone to the other and our one clown really beats the anemones! None of our corals got stung while they moved around to find a spot they were happy with. IMO, they're very easy to care for, especially if you have clowns. We have 3 in a 155G with two sets of Current Nova Extreme 3ft lights T5HO lighting, each light fixture produces 234watts. We also had these same 3 in a 40G with one set of the same lights.
