Will a clown remember?

If you remove a clown from a tank ,& if a anemone was hosting him, will he remember when he goes back in? Even if hes out for more then say 4 weeks or more? Has anyone had a clown away from the anemone for a long time then put him back in & did he go to the anemone? What would happen for say 6 months? It may be a stupid question but its valid.

I was told that whenever they are seperated, even if it's just from the lfs to your house, you run the risk of the clown not hosting anymore.

When I bought my sebae it was hosting a clarkii that I didn't want. After 2 weeks me & my wife decided we wanted the clarkii because our perc showed no intrest in the sebae, we also felt guilty, when we got him home we ,accl him of corse, then when he went in he went stright for the sebae at full blast
it was funny he would not let him alone.
That was only after 2 weeks so I was wondering if they remember or is it that they just want a anemone because of the type a clown? Or is it once they get a tast of anemone life they always want it (then that would also be remembering)? They proved on mythbusters that gold fish have memories so why not clowns & other fish?

its very possible he remembered his home
clarkiis are also one of the least picky when it comes to choosing a host
