Hey guys
Im new to the hobby and have been cycling the water for about 5 weeks
I just recently bought a long tenticle anemone and 2 Agricultured Percula Clownfish. So far they look like they are doing pretty well in their new environment. The fishes has been hiding in live rocks. The anemone has found a place where it is comfortable. I was wondering will they occupy the anemone, if so how long?

well assuming your tank is large enough and the water and lighting are good enough to keep the anenome and the fish happy and alive, aquacultured clowns may or may not host an anenome. its a bit of a crapshoot. some species have better odds than others. some people try taping photographs clowns hosting anenomes to the glass of the tank and swear it works. i had a black ocelarris clown (aquacultured) that rarely host, but he likely got the idea to do so because i had another clown already hosting another anenome on the other side of the tank . a sorrt of living example....not reccommended to mix species of clowns or anenomes unless the tank is big enough , tho ***

also there is a thread in the archives that discusses anenomes and the clownfish species that host them...some clowns will actually get stung by the wrong anenome!
