Will ammonia be bad for corals?

I have a new tank (5 days old) that is a 5 gallon setup with 10W 50/50 power compact. I put in a few zoos to see how they might do, and I'm wondering, as the tank is cycling, can ammonia levels and nitrite levels above 0.0 cause the coral not do come out yet?

Yes. Not only that, but they are at a pretty high risk of dieing altogether. There is NO coral that should be put in a tank during a cycle. It is likely to just be a waste of money and life.

thanks... I just had a few "scraps" from my larger tank... but if I can save them today, I'll try and take them out...

Corals definitely can't handle cycling!!

Absolutely. I would remove the corals from that tank, ASAP.
