Will an Emerald Crab regenerate claw?

Will an Emerald Crab regenerate claw? My emerald crab is down to one claw for a strange reason, but still alive. Wake up this morning and saw his claw in the sand, but he was still moving around.

kiddow got it right, they grow the new one under their shell, so when they molt they then have both claws again. Sometimes it takes a few molts though before the claw reappears. It does not grow like a little claw that slowly grows back to normal size, just not there one day, then there the next. It is pretty neat, I think. Hard to believe they can fit the whole claw under their shell. However, the new claw and the rest of the new shell is still soft until a few hours after the old shell has been molted. It is during this time that the food industry harvests the crabs that become "soft-shell crabs."
