This is my experience with these critters.
None has ever bothered a "coral" in my tank.
20-55 gallon package;
20 Scarlet Reef Hermits - reef safe, no problems whatsover
20 Blueleg Hermits - reef safe, but may attack a dieing snail for it's shell, or just flat out attack a snail.
I've seen the Bluelegs fight with each other and scarlets.
20 Turbo Snails - totally reef safe
1 Sally Lightfoot Crab - some have reported problems - some have not - considered reef safe by many. Mine ate coralline algae like it was going out of style - back to LFS.
2 Brittle Stars - reef safe to best of my knowledge - I like these guys.
1 Coral Banded Shrimp - again some report fighting among other shrimp, and they are built for making trouble - 1 in tank only unless you get a mated pair.
3 Emerald Crab - reef safe IMO - never had a problem with these guys either.
If you are concerned about any critters in a package - I'd consider the U-Build It - and just get what you want.

it's not that they are bad for the tank..it's that the tank is bad for them. they would grow to be really big but they'll die cause of the water temp...anything more than about 69 degrees is too warm for them.
