Will ANYTHING reef safe kill ich larvae?

I have no fish in my tank, just a buch of LR and corals. I'm going to let the adults die off to put more fish in, but I was wondering if there is any safe way to kill the ich larvae?

Hey Lebowski, you have a 29, do you run a skimmer or no? I don't, but things seem to be doing fine. How long as it been established...A few people said that 2 weeks are sufficient.

You totally lost me.....obviously there was a previous event??? Were there fish with ich? There are simply too many posts here to follow all of them, so info helps on each post.:) Ich lives like 21 days without a host, so one month is a safe time to let an ich infested tank sit without a host for ich.

Thanks for jumping in here sammy. Fishkiller is my friend that I got to sign up here and I don't want him getting the wrong information, not that anyone has given any. ;)
Just to give a little extra background:
But, yeah, he had gotten some damsels. You know how nasty damsels can be because LFS' don't always take as good care of them.
Well, the ones he had came in with ich. Unfortunately they started spawning and infected his clown, and coral beauty too.
However, just because he doesn't have a skimmer now, doesn't mean he shouldn't get one.
A skimmer is the best possible method of mechanical filtration for removing excess nutrients, fish waste, and other harmful contaminents from the tank.
In fact, I believe it is more important to skim a smaller tank versus a larger one.
So fishkiller, I say you get some kind of skimmmer asap. That should be your next purchase after getting more LR and everything. It can wait for a while though considering there are no fish in the tank. The main thing now though is that LR. Next time you come over, look at my skimmer cup. You will see all the green, foamy, nastiness. And when that dies down, you will see all the green liquid nastiness in the cup. Just picture that stuff remaining in your tank. The corals, fish (when you get them) and inverts will all be subjected to that. But, if you skim... it takes it out.
In turn:
Better water quality.
Happier fish
Happier corals and inverts.
Thriving tank.

PS--- and if you are at the LFS up there and you see the product Kick Ich, don't buy it. It claims to be reef safe but doesn't really seem to work. I tried it back in the day when I worked at an LFS and all it appears to be is expensive firewater.
Not worth the money. And plus, now that you don't have fish in there, best thing you can do is let it cycle off.

Kick Ich is an expensive hoax. Save yourself the money and aggravation. Establish a hyposalinity Q tank with that money and put sick fishies in there. I've only been plagued with ich one time when I added a fish that had been dipped in Hydroplex rather than placed in Q for a few weeks. Live and learn. The fish survived, but it wasn't because of the Kick Ich...it was because I placed him in the hyposalinity Q tank for treatment and recovery.
