Will changing filtration delay cycling???

I have a 55 gal FOWCC that I am currently cycling. I have four damsels to cycle the tank. I realize this is going to take a little longer. I decided to disconnect an undergravel filter and add two penguin bio-wheels. I did this at a time when my nitrites had peaked. Is this change in filters going to delay my cycling process? If so, how long can I expect to wait now?
Thanks!!

I doubt if THIS change will delay the cycle. If you were using a powergilter with pads, then removed them,,,THAT would be a problem. You see in this type of filter alot of bacteria will live in the pad....But with the UGF the substrate is your filter...By unhooking it,you really removed NO bacteria...
